The Force for Young People Campaign

Each year in Massachusetts, approximately 800 youth age out of foster care. In addition, there are currently 2,100 young adults between the ages of 18-22 who have signed themselves back in to custody of the Department of Children and Families – leaving the state with many young adults in desperate need of evidence informed, community-based services like the LifeSet program, to help them reach their full potential.

Over the next three years, Youth Villages will significantly increase the number of transition-aged youth served in LifeSet from 300 to 500 young adults per day, which will impact the lives of nearly 1,100 young adults per year.

Be a part of the Force for Change by supporting our $16.2 million goal.

LifeSet is designed to help young adults make a successful transition to independent adulthood. Across Massachusetts and in New Hampshire, the program provides intensive individualized services to youth who are aging out of foster care, juvenile justice and mental health systems, helping them to overcome their challenges and meet their goals.

The challenges that former foster youth face go unseen in our community. Historically, this population faces high rates of homelessness, incarceration, unemployment and many other challenges.

Your gift provides a future for young people who have already faced so many challenges and gives them the opportunity they deserve to succeed.
