What style of event is this? 
Imagine the winter brunch tasting event of your dreams-- delicious soups, mimosas, and other specialty items to enjoy all while raising funds for children and families. Attendees can expect a relaxed, casual atmosphere as they make their way to each tasting station. Suggested dress code is casual/smart casual. 

What should I expect?
Doors will open at 10:45 am. Beginning at 11:00 am, you can expect a short opening ceremony with Youth Villages CEO, Pat Lawler, and a special guest signaling the start of Soup Sunday by ringing the Youth Villages bell. Following the opening ceremony, you will have plenty of time for tasting, mingling, and voting for your favorite eats. Restaurant awards will begin at approximately 1:30 pm, with the event concluding at 2:00 pm.

Is this event 21+ only?
While those under 21 are welcome to attend Soup Sunday, this event is designed for adults 21 and over. You must present ID and be 21+ to indulge in the complimentary adult beverages.

How do I get to The Kent?
Directions from I-40 W:

  • Take exit 1D onto US-51 N/N Danny Thomas Blvd

  • In a quarter mile, turn left onto A.W. Willis Avenue

  • In 0.7 miles, turn right onto Front Street

  • The Kent will be on your right (approx. 0.5 miles)

Directions from I-240 N/I-69:

  • Take exit 31 to merge onto I-40 W

  • In half a mile, take exit 1D onto US-51 N/N Danny Thomas Blvd

  • In a quarter mile, turn left onto A.W. Willis Avenue

  • In 0.7 miles, turn right onto Front Street

  • The Kent will be on your right (approx. 0.5 miles)

What is the parking situation?
Parking is free and available in the lot across Front Street. Street parking is also available.

Is this event kid-friendly?
Soup Sunday is designed for adults 21 and over. In order to get the most out of your event experience, we kindly suggest you enjoy a kid-free afternoon and leave your children at home.
